COST CYPHER Training School on the
Analysis, uncertainty quantification, validation,
optimization and reduction of combustion kinetic mechanisms

2-5 September, 2025    Budapest, Hungary

Scope of the Training School

summer school
Analysis, uncertainty quantification, validation, optimization and reduction of combustion kinetic mechanisms

2-5 September, 2025, Institute of Chemistry, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary

This Training School is a part of COST Action CYPHER. The training school is open for everyone who is interested in the topics of the development and analysis of detailed combustion mechanisms.

List of registered trainees (TBD)

The Action’s Training Schools provide intensive training in emerging research topics. Participants are mainly, but not exclusively, PhD students and Early-Career Investigators (i.e., researchers who received their PhD no more than 8 years ago) involved in COST Actions.

CYPHER COST action will finance the participation of about 30 trainees, covering the accommodation and travelling costs, and providing a per diem.

Registration fee EUR 120 for the trainees and EUR 50 for the accompanied persons will be charged before 31 July. The late fees (after 1 August) are EUR 150 and EUR 60. The registration fee will cover the lunches during the four days and the networking event (dinner in a restaurant).

The trainees are asked to bring their own laptop for the practical sessions.

The trainees are suggested to present a poster, but it is not mandatory. The posters will be on display during the whole training school and there will be a dedicated poster session on Tuesday afternoon.
